Good. A few chuckles. But I've read better in this vein. Operating Instructions by Anne Lamott did the whole I'm-just-gonna-spew-out-whatever-is-in-my-honest/mean/new mom-head thing so much better. This was a super fast read, so there was that.

I enjoyed the interesting formatting and POV changes. I think when an author does creative things like this, it's easy for the writing to have a “creative writing class” feel to it, but this book did not feel contrived and was really well-written. She has a funny voice which always wins points with me. It's short and may feel like it goes in one ear and out the other, but the story stays with you.

This was a pretty quick read and an interesting look at a marriage, both its high and low points. The structure of it made it a bit difficult to follow at times. And I have to confess that I wanted to hear the husband’s perspective occasionally. It felt weird only hearing one side of things. Still, I did enjoy this book and the author’s writing style is to be commended.
