Richard II is one of the histories I hadn't read before, so I'm not quite sure what to make of it without a reread. Like all of Shakespeare's histories, it's obviously heavy on the themes of rulership and power, but I'm having trouble sorting out how I feel about the play on its own rather than as "part one of the Henriad." I'll revisit this play later.
Moderate: Death, Death of parent, and Murder
Minor: War
