Colton is one of those characters that is so well written, he captured my attention since book one The Psycho. He has amazing one liners and is just the right kind of wrong, if you will, so I was going into this book with exceedingly high expectations, and Nikki J. Summers delivered with The Joker.
Colton King has not lived an easy life, there’s a reason why he is the way he is, and it’s dark and heartbreaking to read that story as it unravels from the mind of the child, Colton King. Tears were shed, and lightbulbs were turned on. It’s easy to root for Colton when you read his story and suffer in silence with him, which is exactly what I did with the read. Even though the burn was much slower than what I usually like, I was ready for Colton to find his match. I’m happy to report that she was worth the wait, matching his crazy at every turn!
