I had some trouble with this final book of the series. I just didn't really like Meera too much for most of it. She was so arrogant and self-important, thinking her judgment about nearly everything was the only valid judgment. And I felt that Rhys deserved better than for his reshon to resist accepting him just because he was chosen by heaven, and not by her first. I think because of her, I just kinda felt emotionally disconnected from so much of the story.

Great read

This just as well written as the last books in the series. The author does a wonderful job describing the colors and beauty of New Orleans and digs deeper into the history and battles of the Irins. Meera and Rhys are compatible and I enjoyed seeing their romance flourish.

Meera is an amazing, intelligent, independent and selfless woman. She is always giving and living for others. She finally meets her match in Rhys and it's beyond satisfying.
So happy that this series is still going strong. I hope we'll get more soon!
Make sure to read the other books in this series so you will know the world better, plus they are kick ass books as well.

A very nice and mellow end to the Irin Chronicles. I liked both Meera and Rhys, a suitable pair and both stubborn as hell. Hunter's world of Irin and Fallen and Grigori differs from other books with magic in them, since I am not an HP fan and a fan of witch-related series, this one was delightful. In the end, I think I loved the first book in the series the best, but it was a nice long time of reading stories from this world. Quite sad that this was the last book, but life goes on.

I love this book and the series overall. I hope she writes additional stories in the Irin world…

This book will be one that I reread over and over again. It has witty banter, a strong confident heroine, an alpha male not afraid to play beta, and a trickster angel. Throw in a crazy swamp lady and this book is a lot of well-written fun. Like all good books, it will give you that post-book low, because you don’t want to leave your new fictional friends. I highly recommend this book/series to one and all. Please note, however, there is some mild adult content (and references to naked chess.) Happy Reading!

I've been very slowly going through the Irin books, which sometimes doesn't serve me well as a reader; I just forget the lore. The Seeker very much feels like a resolution of sorts, both Irin and Irina coming together to bring down one of the Fallen. I'm fascinated by the mythology of this world, which is somehow both incredibly gender essentialist, and also more thoughtful and complex than it seems at first glance? I like when these urban fantasy systems get all messy, which this does.

As with all of Elizabeths books in this series, I thoroughly enojoyed reading this book. Getting to know Rhys (I pronounce it Reese and idc if thats incorrect, its grown on me) on a deeper level and seeing him interact with people other than his brothers and those he deems worthy of his prescence or attention was interesting.

I enjoyed getting to know more about Irina history and the different tribes and factions that existed before the rending. It's crazy to read these books now with all of the Irina out and about and beginning to be loud and proud about it. For so long, the Irin were alone and then when the Irina revealed themselves, they were sheltered, revered and treated like fragile china dolls. But to finally get to see what they are really capable of and how important and integral they are to their communities. They're straight up badasses and I love it.

The dialogue and FEELS in this book, as usual, 100% spot on. Elizabeth just has a way with words and conversation between characters, that completely sucks you in, makes you laugh, makes you feel scared, frustrated, happy and sad all in a span of a few pages. As serious and studious as Rhys is, he is the funniest character in the entire book and dare I say, the series. There is a scene with Rhys and a laser pointer that literally had me in the laundramat DYING of laughter.

It took me a little while to get through this one...combination of work and the story slowing down a little bit towards the end. Well, it didn't really "slow down", there was just talk and scenes about characters and past Irina in the book, that I didn't really care for. When I am invested in a story and the characters, PRESENT characters, forays into the past and into memories typically pull me out of the moment and away from the book, so I'm not surprised it took me a little bit of time to get through those parts.

All in all, another solid book. I like the direction the series seems to be taking and I can't wait to see what the next book in the series holds. I wonder if we're going to move on to another Irin/Irina couple. Or if Elizabeth is going to revist a few of our old friends.

Either way, IM DOWN!!

So good

And the most epic conclusion to a truly incredible series. I can’t even out into words how deep this story is.
