The beginning called this book cozy and I definitely do not agree with that. I was stressing from beginning to end.
This is all sort of just thinly veiled allegory for the current american political climate…
I wasn’t gonna read the second one and I haven’t decided if I am, but the (very predictable) ending stressed me out so fuckin much I might need to

FMC has low self esteem connected to her weight and body image and suffers from binge eating. Internal thoughts concerning this are prevalent. Active body shaming throughout this book from her parents and others. Proceed with caution if you have body image issues or an eating disorder, this book could trigger you.kassiebetweenpages's review against another edition

I Loved this book so much! The author did an excellent job taking care to capturing some real life struggles that plus size people experience without the book feeling like it was outright fat shaming.it was handled with such care while also giving a voice to our FMC's past trauma and experiences.
Moderate: Body shaming, Emotional abuse, Misogyny, Physical abuse, and Gaslighting

You can not help but fall in love with all of Pack Ashwood because they just have so much love to give to Josie and she deserves every drop of it.
The driving scene is so funny!
I can’t wait for more
