I had a really hard time getting into and through this book. I felt like the characters lacked a lot of depth (their whole character was surrounding the fact that they were dark and scary) and we didn’t really explore how or why they were that way. Besides this, it was a good filler book.

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Plot: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Dialogue: ⭐️

I tried so hard to get into this book. I love morally gray men, and the stalker trope is one of my favorites. It’s hard to find good ones.

I ended up DNF’ing The Psycho simply because the narrative to dialogue ratio was too skewed towards the narrative. I prefer stories with more character interaction. The amount of repetitive narrative was distracting, and a lot of it came across as ego boosting for Adam. I understand what the author was trying to do, but I feel like they would have been more successful if they’d had Adam eavesdrop on people talking about them and how dangerous and powerful they are without him telling it to himself like he was boosting his own ego.

It was a really interesting story, and I give the author props for world building.

Cute. But I don't get how this is a "dark" romance. Add some murder and let's call it a dark romance, shall we? It's laughable, really. Or maybe I'm just too far gone. Idk. Either ways, Adam reminds me of one of those big, scary dogs that all bark but no bite and are secretly teddy bears on the inside. A bit bland and basic, if I could say so myself. Like, that is not an anti hero, honey. Also, Olivia was a bitch for no reason and was really giving pick me vibes from time to time. I mean, there's a thin line of difference between being a strong character and being straight up mean for no reason - a bully, even. Ngl, for a bunch of supposed vigilantes, these guys were pretty dumb. Like they really tried to be badass but it just turned out to be amusing lol. Regardless, this was a decent read and I did like this author's writing style. Would recommend to anybody who likes books with some dark elements but not too much and like the boy obsessed + stalker trope.

Fairly formulaic vigilante mob + morally grey. I think I was expecting irredeemable. I read this one because the 2nd in the series was recommended to me. I’ll read that one and then decide if I want to DNF the series.

I love a monster tamer & her stalker as a match but this was way too easy. He wasn’t especially crazy. Based on the trigger list I was expecting…. Less inner peace & more psychotic delusions.

Violence, Stalker, Queens English, ~4hr Kindle Unlimited

Apparently I’m on a run of bad books lately. I was seriously invested the first 15 pages but after that I was skimming just to get to the point. This book is way too long and filled with predictable blah blah blah. I only finished it because I needed to know if they got together in the end and if he’s really that dark and twisted (he’s not).

This is a new to me author. And I will be reading a lot more of her work
I loved this book. Lots of action and angst. The romance moved at a perfect pace for me. The action kept me engaged and on the edge of my seat!
I loved the characters and their development and I can't wait for Colton and Devon's stories!
