I almost stopped reading this book after 40 pages - if I read one more time about how they were kings in the city, everything was up to them, everyone feared them etc etc, pls make it stop.

i needed more from this, it wasn't what I was expecting in terms of dark romance, like I think I just needed more. It had some good parts and I liked Adam and Olivia. the soldiers of anarchy felt a little cringy to me at time, like them calling themselves soldiers was almost overdone to me, continuing with the series bc I hear the third one is good however this was very middle of the pack for me

DNF 14% at last update.
I just wasn’t vibing with this writing.
I’m thinking it’s probably mostly my mood but I was just bored.
Too much intro for me.
Maybe I’ll come back to it, but I just can’t muster the interest to pick it back up, right now.

I’m a little busy right now, but I’d love the chance to ignore you some other time.
Uhm, all hail Queen Olivia.
The Psycho brings us back into underground that runs alongside the Rebels of Sandland, which I am VERY here for. Anything to get back into it .. or close proximity to, Brandon Mathers.
Anyways... Liv existed along side Emily & Effy in the Rebels of Sandland books, always supporting, but not yet getting her own air time. Still though I loved her & had high hopes.. & her story does not dissapoint.
The Plot
The Psycho picks up where Fractured Minds ended - post Bran-Bran fight / the shenanigans with Finn. They Soldiers had just yanked Finn around on a series of challenges, during which they partially black mailed him / deal with a 'problem' of his. It was a violent and extreme meathod, yes, but effective. That being said, obviously the boys of Sandland do NOT like (they hate) the Soldiers. Brinton Manor and Sandland have been rivals since the beginning, & this was just all the cherry on top of their running fued.
The fued extends to Liv, who is a ride or die for her friends. She threatens Adam, telling him to leave her friends alone, she'll stab him or some shit - she says all the things an"I don't fuck around" style queen would... & when he beginsstalking admiring her, she always has a fierce, whitty clapback to toss back his way.
Naturally, he loves all of this. You need to read to see how it all pans out, obviously :-) .
Adam Noble:Stalker Devoted Admirer
Head man of the Soldiers of Anarchy.
Cold, violent, literally wants to just kill all the time apparently. The title does him justice. He meets Olivia, & she's stirs something around in the place he hides his humanity... enough to bring it out of hibernation to back the surface.
She resists him still, but out of neccessity. Liv has been burned and hurt so many times she doesn't want to believe, or let herself believe, he truly wants her and not just *one thing* - doesn't believe he sees her. He is quick to shut that down.
SWOOOOOOON!!!!!!
Once they're both in, they're IN, & neither is afraid to show the depth of who they are to other.
Example: Liv is out with her friends, all couples, who had unknowingly set her up, & brought along another single friend for her. One who works with Ryan.
Adam shows up (obviously), but doesn't make himself known until she's away from them, alone. He's a little jealous, she obliges him knowing she'd react the same way if she caught him with another chick. But is quick to remind him of who exactly she is:
Later that night, Adam shows up (obviously) at her house with Pizza, & apologizes to her for making her feel like he ever doubted her because it wasn't his intention, that it wasn't her he didn't trust --> I REPEAT: IT WAS NOT HER HE DID NOT TRUST!! Boy TRUSTS his woman. I love it.
Liv though, again, sets him & his apology straight
They see themselves in each other
When in each others presence, each of them feels better, at peace with themselves, but still fully themselves.
Adam
Olivia
Liv & Adam are reflections of each other.
They fall for each other, beyond the point of obssession or infatuation - not because she's the sunshine to his grumpiness or vice versa.. but because she & he are similar, & that is my FAVORITE part. Neither of them changes at their core, only trusts the other enough to be vulnerable, & give themselves over completely. #thisiswhatdreamsaremadeof
Thank you [a:Nikki J. Summers|18743777|Nikki J. Summers|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1628164592p2/18743777.jpg] as always. Can't wait for the next in the series so I can add to my (long) list of emotionally damaged, dark, fictional boyfriends (lol not kidding)

Psycho: I don’t like being ignored. You should know that by now.
That was a standard Noble response. Playing the big man. He probably thought it scared me, but it didn’t. I was getting used to his way with words. All it did was show me that I could get to him. His closed-off answers left him wide open for my ridicule. This shit was too easy.
Me: I’ll tell you what I do know. You’re annoying. Go play freakshow somewhere else.
I knew he wouldn’t.

Me: You think you know me, Adam, but really you don’t. I’m a horrible person. I speak my mind and people hate it. I spend way too much time on my appearance. I’m shallow. If you got to know me, you’d realise that.
I thought I’d hit him with the truth. Tell him exactly what sort of a person I really was.
My Stalker: That’s what you want people to think, and it breaks my heart if you actually believe that to be true. Do you? Because I don’t see it that way. You speak your mind because you care. If people don’t see that then more fool them. You are beautiful with or without all the shit you put on your face because beauty is more than just a pretty face, its kindness and love. You do things for other’s even though they don’t know about it or acknowledge it. They don’t thank you because they take you for granted. You’re not shallow, Olivia. You have more depths than you’ll ever let anyone see. I know you, but I want to know more

“Just one more thing,” I said as I held the handle to the main door out of here and gave him a pointed stare. “If you ever question my loyalty again, you’ll be the one getting on your knees, proving to me who you belong to. I’m not a cheat and I never will be.”
“You’re fucking perfect, Olivia Cooper.”
“And you’re fucking mine, Adam Noble.”

“Adam… Don’t ever apologise for who you are. I don’t want you to change. You’re you. You’re one of a kind. That’s what I… like about you. I’ve never met anyone like you.”
“I know I can be intense and a bit too much to handle, but it’s only because I’m crazy about you, Olivia. Always have been and always will be.”
“I’m crazy about you too.”
They see themselves in each other
I could see him watching me at certain points, seeing how I reacted. We didn’t talk through the film, but we didn’t need to. I was starting to feel surprisingly relaxed, and from the way he put his feet up and lay back on the sofa opposite me, he did too.
When I found something funny, I could hear him laugh at the same time.
His feet tapped out the rhythm of the soundtrack in the same way my fingers did.
It was strange, but we seemed to have fallen into some weird alternate universe where we were in sync with one another and almost… connected in some way?
I’d never expected to feel like this around him, like my soul was at peace, but I did.
When in each others presence, each of them feels better, at peace with themselves, but still fully themselves.
Adam
I suddenly realised, that kill switch in my head, the one that went from psycho to simmering, it wasn’t even on right now. The voices that were usually a loud screech or a dull roar, they were quiet. She did that. She centred me. And I knew in that moment, that I would never walk away from her.
What started out as an obsession had become so much more. She was everything.
She was my lifeline.
My reason for being.
She was the one.
Olivia
I silenced the demons in his head. He silenced the doubt in my heart.
Maybe my heart was safe in his hands after all? Maybe.
I really hoped it was, because he had it, and there was no going back for me.
I’d fallen and I never wanted to be free.

Love a good stalker romance. This delivered that. Everything you want in a book. Brooding villain, badass female mc, violence for the right reasons and steamy scenes. It did have it all but at the same time didn’t really stand out as anything too different but I liked it none the less.

Amazing
I couldn't get enough of this story. Adam is a complete psycho but I love a good harass FMC like Olivia even more. The spice was on point and the end had me wanting to throw my kindle and cry at the same time..

I finally read it and it did not disappoint. From the minute you start this book you quickly learn about the Soldiers of Anarchy and they suck you in. I love the relationship the soldiers have between each other. Then in strolls Olivia with all the sass and you can’t help but love her. This story had me laughing along with the banter and kept me wanting more.
I do feel as though Adam could have been more of a psychopath, even darker and less hinged. But with that said, I’m always a sucker for a stalker. In the way of spicy scenes, once it got going this book didn’t disappoint

**More like 2 1/2 stars honestly***
I listened to the audiobook; I increased the speed by chp. 6 so that it was over faster. Adam was endearing (I guess) and Liv annoyed the living daylights outta me

Good story over all. I found the FMC lacking in depth and a bit annoying but I did love me some Adam. Would have enjoyed more spice but it was yum nonetheless

I feel like I have been slowly dying to get my hands on Adam’s story, get to see more of him and what makes him tick, as well as a little more of the other soldiers, and it did not disappoint. In previous books we see these Soldiers of Anarchy as bad guy vigilantes with no moral compass and do as they please. They have had a understanding with the Southland that they run their town as they see fit and everyone else should stay away. They are all dark and twisted in their own ways, yet they don’t do anything to someone who doesn’t deserve it and those people are the sickest of the sickest so they are doing a service to society even if they have to cross some lines to do it. Adam is their leader, a mastermind when it comes to vengeance, and a tad psycho when he needs to be. Once he sets his sights on Liv something in him recognizes her as being his and will do anything to make that happen even a little stalking to get her to see they belong together. Liv is a strong headed woman yet she carries a lot of insecurities around that she hides behind her walls. She wants to be appreciated and loved but even her closest friends can’t see the pain she hides. At one time Emily and Effy frustrated me even though they were only looking out for their friend trying to dissuade her fascination with Adam, I wanted them to be a little more supportive because she kept so much of herself locked away and Adam brought that out of her so in a way he was good for her even if at first she wasn’t having it. Adam sees the real her and wants to give her the world, but she can’t get past his reputation and deeds. Liv wants to come off as a tough chick and she is to Adam but at times she frustrated me like no other. She held so much against Adam and while he is a little psycho he’s a psycho that protects the weak, is loyal to those loyal to him, and he cares in his own way. I loved this Loving Psycho even if he did questionable things I LOVED his story. Liv took some time to grow on me but once she opened up and let Adam in I liked her a little more. Twisted, dark, gritty, super hotttt, this book had it all and I am dying for more!! (Ps at the beginning I was feeling protective of Adam so my Renaissance men made me mad even though they had a right to be
