Adam is what the book title says - the psycho. He is part of the Soldiers of Anarchy but I see them more as anti heroes righting the wrongs done to others by bad people. They just do it in a dark and crazy way.

Adam falls quick and hard for Olivia and although he is a bit of a stalker it is done in an interesting way. She fully knows who he is and that he is doing it and secretly I think she enjoyed every minute.

Looking forward to see what else these soldiers have in the rest of the series!

I really really wanted to like this book. And there were moments I really liked. I loved their relationship when they got together and I loved the male main character but this was marketed as a dark stalker romance and it was not dark. This man was respectful. Way too respectful to be a stalker romance in my opinion.

I love the friendship between the guys but there was no backstory about how they became friends. Small drops here or there but I needed a full story on why they were that way and how they became friends. Also Liv was annoying. One second she hated him then they were too in love. I needed a slower transition.

I struggled to finish this book. I was so bored. The beginning felt confusing. The last 15% of the book was the only good part. This turns me off from wanting to read the rest of the series.

The Psycho by Nikki J Summers is a dark new adult stalker romance. This is the first book in The Soldiers of Anarchy series.

The book comes with a caution "There are scenes of a violent and sexual nature in this story, therefore it is intended for readers of 18+ years. Please take note of the trigger warnings."

I absolutely love Nikki's books! She does an amazing job pulling you into the story and making you feel the characters emotions. I really enjoyed Adam and Liv's story. Their romance is messy but you can't help but root for them. They were everything I was hoping for when they were introduced in the Rebels of Sandland series.

I would highly recommend this book if you love new adult romances, dark romances, stalker romances, contemporary romance, or romantic suspense. This is definitely one of my TOP 2021 READS!

Fantastic

I am so glad I picked up this series! I put it off for a while but with book 4 coming out I wanted to get caught up and I'm so glad I did! I am a little biased as the MMC and my husband have the same name but this story was fantastic! Both main characters are fiery, take no scrap from anyone and are the push and pull was great! This enemies to lovers, stalker romance was so wonderfully written I could not put it down! I can't wait to see what the rest of the series brings, I can already tell I think I know who my favorite will be. This was definitely a 4.5 stars.

This book gave me similar vibes to Lord of London Town by Tillie Cole, which I loved! But tell me why the heroes name is… Adam.

Adam is the head of the soldiers, a group of guys who patrol their city, taking jobs to take down the men who don’t deserve to live. They’re glorified, scary hitmen who toy with their prey before killing them.

As soon as Adam spots Olivia, the friend to someone they toyed with, he’s obsessed. She… isn’t. Obviously. Because he hurt her friends.

I love a psycho romance and there were so many things about this book that was up my alley. But this book fell a little flatter than I wanted it to, because SO MUCH of the book was them apart. He watched her. She knew it. He texted her. She responded, always calling him a psycho and saying to leave her alone. Girl… just give in.

Ultimately it was kind of… too little too late? Still had some fun moments but I wanted… a bit more.

4/5 stars!
"Diamonds are found in the darkest places."
This book was a quick and fun read. We all love a good sta/ker, and these two have such great banter between the two. The FMC is strong and sassy, and the MMC is possessive and protective. A lot of the action happens at the end, so there's definitely a thrilling ending. I enjoyed the audiobook an accents.
