This book was good except for the different slang used to describe certain things (maybe the author is Australian as “mate” was used often in terms of friendships) and some errors in editing. I didn’t care for the lack of plot and when I was reading some parts the MMC seemed to be forcing his masculinity and darkness more than the writing was making me feel his depravity. The mmc would say he’s a dangerous weapon but when push comes the shove it wasn’t shown that he was anything like he was warning. It was an enjoyable read but I wouldn’t read it again.
Moderate: Violence and Stalking
Minor: Torture

No, this is a very good stalking, tenseness, slow burn romance.
I say, slow burn because nothing spicy actually happens to more than 2/3 into the book.
But what you get is this very playfulness of the cat & mouse game that they have.
This instant connection that Adam has to Olivia where he knows that she is the one and even when she’s not wanting to be with him, he’s still pursued her.
I do understand people don’t like the back and forth when the hero still pursues the heroine, even though she keep saying no. Then something happens and all of a sudden she wants him.
For me, this is not the kind of story. She wants him from the beginning. But it’s that reluctant want. That guilty pleasure want. The want, where are you know it’s bad for you, but you still want it but you’re going to act like you don’t.
So I definitely would recommend this. I do have the other series so I will be reading them because I did like reaper and joker’s characters.
I also would reread this!
