This one is really like 3.5 stars for me. I almost gave it 4, but honestly that would have been just because I disliked Hannah's book so much.
What do I like about this one? Devi and N'dek are great. It was so wonderful to have a heroine in this series that wasn't bitching and moaning about something. Very refreshing after the last book.
What kept this from a higher rating? Well, there's nothing wrong with the story - it just didn't capture my attention the way some of Dixon's others have. Also, I don't get why the couple wouldn't have resonated earlier. Unlike other couples, they liked each other the entire time. By the time they finally got together at the end, I just didn't care anymore. And the semi-jealousy with S'bren was a bit too weak to make an impact.
And of course, I still don't like all the drama with Bridget and A'tam. It's annoying and I don't care about them. In this one, Dixon tried to give her some redeeming qualities, but to me, the damage has been done. I really don't want to read about her anymore!

This definitely my favorite book in the Icehome series.
