I loved getting to see Devi and N’dek find and love one another. Another favorite of the ice home world.

4.5 rounded up! I absolutely loved this one! I loved Devi trying to learn more about the planet. I love how slow burn this one was, how understanding N'dek was. I loved watching him come out of his shell after is accident, and I just loved them together. Definitely one of my favourite Icehome books so far!

Okay, I liked this one a lot. A lot more than the other two I tried from Ruby Dixon and I’m not sure if it’s because these are clearly later books and she’s honed her skills or if it’s because this is Icehome rather than IPB? But this one did it for me in so many ways.

-Relatable scientist FMC AND a relatable disabled MMC; relatable for different reasons but I really connected with these characters
-Neither of them are particularly focus on baby making, which I could really take or leave (preferably leave) unlike the others I’ve read so far
-the MMC is kinda grumpy at the beginning but he really opens up and he absolutely adores the FMC; the way he talks about her and to her later in the book made my heart sing (for her, I wish someone would talk to me like that)
-the MMC is also totally enamored with how smart she is and he doesn’t want to change her curiosity or turn her into a hut-dwelling baby on the hip little woman. He encourages her and indulges her curiosities.
-The FMC does not see his lack of lower leg as making him any less than a man and she is very vocal about it; he needs those reassurances. She’s also fiercely defensive of him when he would normally just take whatever.
-One thing I’ve loved about these books are how the aliens are very generous lovers — this one however he was extremely generous, super gentle and careful, and basically worshipped her, all at HER pace. There was also reciprocal 0r@l which the others I’ve read so far did not have and idk, I prefer equality in my spicy scenes so I really liked that it was included and the way he absolutely comes undone and praises her endlessly about how lucky he is to have her.
-This one also had a perfect balance of angst to romance; it didn’t go on too long and I didnt want to shake the characters for not communicating but it tugged at your heart strings enough to get you invested.

loved this one

I’ve read so many books in this universe and this one is definitely one of my favorites. I loved the story, the connection and everything. You can feel the chemistry between the main characters and you can also feel the contrast between their two personalities.
