The Future of Geography: How power and politics in space will change our world by Tim Marshall

Space exploration is not a topic I’m particularly interested in but I’ve seen some of the authors other books and thought it might be interesting.
I think the most glaring problem is it feels quite clear that the author is not an expert in this (extremely complicated) topic. Instead, he compensates with seemingly irrelevant points and lame attempts at humor throughout. Oh well.

Fascinating and mostly easy to read, I plan to keep this and revisit it through the next US presidential administration. Something for everyone here which also means some things not for everyone. I was less keen on the engineering and slightly random aside into science fiction but loved the political war theory. Others may be the reverse. Great for a broad audience!

Great read! Enjoyed author’s snarkiness on russia’s space ambitions considering the dire state of the country, never ending corruption and slowly dying glory of Soviet days.
