I really liked a lot of this book - until the denouement. That’s a fancy word for resolution.
Man with amnesia discovered on a beach. Doctor brought in to work the case, which takes place in the hometown she left as a teen. And I really liked most of this book and was intrigued about where it was going. But the reveal of the man’s identity just had me feeling like I missed something. IDK the resolution was very odd. Did not like.

An unknown man appears on a British beach. The man has no memory of who he was before that day. Dubbed Mr. Nobody by the press, he becomes a mystery the whole world wants to solve. When Dr. Emma Lewis gets the call that they want her to assess this man, she jumps at the opportunity. An expert in the field of neuropsychiatrist, Emma believes she can help Mr. Nobody regain his identity. . .or possibly prove that he is lying. The only problem is that she must return to her hometown, a place she left fourteen years prior under traumatic circumstances. Old memories are stirred up and Emma can't shake the feeling that the man is somehow connected to her past.
The final act twist of this novel really won me over. You might have to suspend your belief a bit, but isn't that what reading is all about? The reveal combined with the questions about Emma's past and Mr. Nobody's condition kept me engaged throughout the book. If you were a fan of Catherine Steadman's first novel, you will definitely enjoy her sophomore outing.

Overall, Mr. Nobody was a decent thriller that kept me guessing. There were definitely times that I was completely sucked in and couldn’t wait to see what happened.
My biggest issue with the book was the pacing. It took until about 30% in for the story to really start coming together, and that was almost too long to hold my interest. Some aspects of the twists were also difficult to follow and felt a little bit far-fetched. If you want an easy read thriller, this one might be for you. I received an arc of this book via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

It took me a few chapters to get into this but once the story got going, I couldn’t stop listening. I found the ending quite thought provoking as well as a bit of a mind bender in some ways when trying to get my head around it but it made for a very interesting read. I felt there could have been more to one aspect of the story (I don’t want to give away any spoilers) however, it was left up for interpretation. On the whole a good read and would definitely recommend on audio!
I think this is the fastest I’ve ever read a book (well, listed to one), but I was home sick so that could be why. I though the ending would be different, kind of wished it had been. The writing made it really easy for me to visualize the setting. I enjoyed this book.
Sometimes I really am tired of the book, but also curious just where in the world the author is taking it. It's 50/50 if I'm glad I stuck with it. This was in the 50% should have given up entirely. It wasn't bad, really, just wasn't good or even remotely believable.
Started off really slowly to the point where I almost stopped reading. It picked up but never got as good as her last book. Good premise so I guess I was hoping for a lot more.
