Didn’t love the writing style. The female characters felt really flat. Also I wasn’t expecting the use of corporal punishment by the MMC  towards the adult stepdaughter of the FMC. That crossed some lines and I wasn’t a fan

This is my first book by this author. I am not a big fan of historical romances, but this one was pretty entertaining.

I didn't expect all of the social and psychological dynamics between Philip, Cordelia, and their ward Gabrielle. Or, between Gabrielle and Felix.

There was no cliffhanger here. Philip and Cordelia have their HEA. Now the question becomes, "What happens with Felix and Gabriella?"

overall this book was fun there was defo moments i didn't enjoy reading but it didn't make me stop so all in all it's okay
