Though not a new bride, Cordelia has a whole lot of innocence that her husband enjoys corrupting. Steamy historical romance, though it was a bit slow for me at times.

This is such a fun read. I feel like I have missed a lot, so will go back to read the earlier series after this one, but I have to say, I do love a bit of regency smut!

I'm glad of the epilogue on this though. It was the only point I became interested in reading about Gabrielle!

Edit: I have done a reread, because I wanted something familiar. The details that are historically wrong bugged me much more this time. The way clothing is described doesn't particularly point to historical accuracy, especially when paired with the picture on the front. But it was just as fun. I was much more sympathetic towards Gabrielle this time! Also, kissing at a wedding at the time would have never happened.

It is basically just smut. But sometimes, that's what you need!

This is the first of Golden Angel's historical novels that I've read and I loved it! The pacing was good and the characters were just flawed enough to love. The story was different in the sense that it was almost Cinderella reversed (the step-daughter was acting more like a villain than the step-mother), and I enjoyed the complexity of the relationship. Philip was a great hero for me, and I really appreciated how he and Cordelia grew into their relationship. Plus, the sex-scenes were hot and steamy, which is very important to me. I definitely suggest this book if you like historical romance, complicated characters, smexy times, and a happy ending.

This is honestly really bad. The men are boring robots, the women are mindless twits, and the worst part is that the narration was atrocious and had a terrible echo.

Interesting D/s BDSM marriage of convenience story with loads of steam and spanking. It has a sub-plot with the step-daughters coming out/debut that is almost more interesting than the new marriage of Cordelia and Philip so our attention is divided. Also the meet-cute happens off page which I felt affected the chemistry early on. Otherwise it's a pleasurable affair!

Philip’s Rules is the first book in the Bridal Discipline Series and is only the second book that I have read by this author. This is Philip Stanley, the Marquess of Dunbury and Cordelia Astley’s story.

I felt like I was getting back to my roots in reading and loving Historical Romances. Philip’s Rules combines my love for a good spanking story along with a love for being a good girl! And, a healthy respect for being a bad girl.

I have had this book on my TBR list since Feb. 2022. That’s not too bad for reading it in the same year that I bought the book! 4 Stars for this book and I already have Gabrielle’s Discipline on my Kindle and I am anxious to read her story! Let's hope my TBR list isn't too long!
