This book was sweet and endearing and just what I needed to read on a rainy bank holiday.
As most YA books go this was very predictable as in I knew exactly what was going to happen before it happened. However, that didn’t stop me devouring it in one sitting.
Oakley Ford is a Rock Star with a bad reputation who is trying to turn over a new leaf and make new music and be taken seriously for once in his life. Vaughan Bennett is a normal girl who waits tables for a living to help her struggling family after their parents die.
Oak’s management decide to overhaul his image with a normal sweet (fake) girlfriend. Fake dating a rock star for a year should be easy right. No. Vaughan and Oakley have a huge personality clash from day one. However as time goes on they begin to have real feelings.
If you are looking for an easy read with no drama and angst then this is the book for you.

I’ve been weirdly CRAVING quick, fun contemporaries and this was perfect for that!

I enjoyed this book so much! It was a warm fluffy contemporary that followed a storyline exactly as I thought, with a few surprises thrown in. It was fun and light hearted, exactly what I wanted and needed to read. I felt all the feels with Vaughn and Oakley - will definitely be keeping this one on the shelf for another rainy day when I need a cute pick-me-up!

I finished it but I didn't love it. Watt's books lately haven't been making me giddy with excitement more like "please let this be good!".

Just wow. Like the fake dating trope is quickly becoming one of my favorites and this book is too. It was like my Disney fav star struck but every part of it was better. Oh my gosh it was so good and romantic and I loved it.

It is a typical contemporary book.
Even though the plot is predictable. I love how authors put more effort in making it a dual perspective. It is always better to know both main characters' point of view.
