This book is a pretty typical romance trope but for YA readers. It was pretty predictable, but I’m aware that I’m saying that as an adult who’s read a lot. Younger readers might find it more fresh.

What a great feel good book!!! I loved it. At first, I wasn't sure about Vaughn. She seemed so naive and unsure. I felt her character really grew as the story progressed. I liked Oakley from the start. Snarky and self assured. His character changes for the better too... Just all in all a great read.

OMG. This book was a 10/10. This should totally be made into a movie. I was suckered in the whole time and the development of the relationship was impeccable. I’m probably going to be rereading it in the near future!

It was really entertaining, but so much drama haha. But I guess that's what happens when you're a popstar.

Yaaaass!! Rock star gets stuck with an unwilling girlfriend for PR reasons... and they fall for each other in a drama-less, sweet and amazing way. More of a romance than a sexy book, especially because it's more YA than NA but it's still well written, sweet and entertaining.

Really good, lighthearted, quick read. While it was a predictable plot, I really enjoyed seeing it play out and it was the perfect guilty pleasure, lighthearted read in between heavier reads.

Teen angsty drama, cheesy-fun dialogue, and an overall lightheartedness make When It's Real the perfect read for any teen romance fan.

I rub her arms. Kiss the top of her head. Remind myself that this is about her and that I’m a terrible human being for enjoying the closeness between us. This is the only time she’s willingly allowed me to hold her. There aren’t any cameras here. This isn’t for show.
This is as real and as awful and as wonderful as it gets. I’d hold her forever if she’d let me.
It is so hard for me to give you all the reasons why I gave this story 5 stars because I loved it from the first word on.
As soon as I started reading the first few pages of this book, I fell in love with the writing, even if I've read her Royals. I have a feeling that Erin took it to another level with When It's Real.
She has a fun, fresh, addictive voice that just compels you to keep reading.
And the characters she creates... I fell in love not only with Vaughn and Oak but also with her sister, her twin brothers, hell!... even his security guy.
A bomb!
