I liked the story in this one and all the concept artwork sprinkled in was really cool

It was nice to see another bit of Firefly. Don't remember reading this one. It was okay, it really didn't add much. It kind of felt like an interim episode, if I thought about it, I'd probably be able to come up with where it fit in the chronology. It didn't add a whole lot. And the "bad" guy looked a little too much like Malcolm Reynolds.
This is the precursor to the movie, in comic form.
The dialogue is great - for the most part, I felt like I was watching my favorite characters as I read. The illustrations are a little off, but some are really good, just off.
My favorite part was probably the Wash and Mal scene - but knowing what was coming with Serenity made me weepy.

Stayed so true to the show that just getting sucked back into that 'verse felt like coming home. Magical.

An excellent continuation of the story. This book picks up directly after the television series, but before the movie. Inara is trying to get off the boat and Mal & Co. are misbehavin' as always.
I also particularly liked Nathan Fillion's introduction. It's really cool when a person talks about places that inspired them and I can say "I've been there! I agree!". Also, Mal Reynolds is kinda like a superhero; the best kind of superhero, the kind without any superpowers.
This is so going on my comic book rack (ie. milk crate).

Of course I enjoyed this, as a Firefly fan, but, as a standalone for the uninitiated it would probably just seem okay. The art was a also a little funky at times (thought some of this is probably just that it's always a little weird to see real-life humans drawn as comic characters), although I liked the space scenes.
