Rating: Good, I liked it 😊.

Would I continue with the series? Maybe.
2018’s Marvel-a-Thon, PHASE III, Guardians of the galaxy Vol. 2: A book set in space.

We get to see the Serenity crew in a new adventure. It was nice to revisit this world, I may continue with the series on a later time.

I'm starting to suspect the show really isn't coming back.

The weird melted-face art bothers me, but whatever.

Too small in scope, too few answers, and damn it the blue hand men would not go out like that much of a bitch.

I thoroughly enjoyed this set of comics. If you've watched the TV series and the movie, this does a nice job of filling in the gap while providing an episode of action and adventure. The writing is great and really captures each character's tone - I can hear them all in my head! In addition, the artwork is very true to the original actors, which I appreciate.

Picked this up while waiting for my son at an appointment. It took less than 30 minutes to read. I thought some of the art was beautiful, but the story was too simple. The writing was cryptic (common for comics, I know) and sometimes I couldn't really understand the point that the dialog was trying to make. Many of the characters also looked enough alike that at times I couldn't tell who was in the scene. Overall, I wasn't impressed. I had planned to read the whole series, but have changed my mind.

A fun installation in the Firefly universe that shines a light on some of the unexplored plot threads from the short-lived series. The art is good, mostly capturing the spirit of the setting, although character faces are hit-and-miss. The dialogue sometimes over-relies on tropes from the series such as fictional slang (gorram, shiny, etc.) and Chinese interjections, which can make the crew feel like flanderised caricatures of their on-screen counterparts. This isn't always the case though — the writer managed to find Kaylee's voice in particular.

In general it offers a glimpse at what an episode of Firefly season 2 might have looked like, for all the good and bad that entails.

More Firefly is never a bad thing. I loved the series and this comic just makes me love the series more. I'm excited to read more of this series.
