I enjoyed it...but it's not up to the level of the show. It's a bunch of loose ends masquerading as a plot, methinks.

An excellent entry in the Firefly/Serenity saga created by Joss Whedon. His skill as a writer, especially in comics, is evident throughout with witty banter, a grip-your-seat tale, and further world-building of his 'verse.
The artist clearly knows their craft as the characters were extremely well-drawn and certain pages were perfect frame-by-frame shots that I'd expect to see on the show.
A good read for fans of the series but I'd recommend watching the show and/or movie before picking this quick read up.

I liked this Tory. The graphic novel was consistent with the show, and the characters were true-to-form. I enjoyed the backstory to the movie. It actually helped clarify some of the parts of the movie.

Attempts to narrate the Firefly universe between the end of the televised series and the movie.
IMHO the movie suffered as the narrative tone went from plucky to epic. Similarly, the story does not excite as this work is a bandage, plugging holes that should never have existed in a first place and appearing rather insignificant compared to the bookends on either side.

It's nice to see the show live on in comic book form. The story could have been a little more thought out though.

I’m probably being kinder to this than I should be, because I love Firefly. The dialogue’s naff; Shephard Book has rushed character development that should been spaced over an entire season and therefore does things that seem completely out of whack from where we leave him in the last episode of the show. Oh, and I don’t understand how the illustrator got the likeness of Simon and Kaylee so off, but for some reason a minor character from the first episode is rather spot on.
But yay, it’s more Firefly (?)

Why oh why did this show have to end?! Yes, I'm part of that weird browncoat following that wants to egg Fox's headquarters for canceling an amazing show before it really got started. Luckily the comic picks up right where Firefly left off and captures the personality of each character perfectly. Marry me Captain Reynolds.

A very fast paced alternate tale reflecting the TV series. It's very well drawn and the story seems to stay wire true to cannon.
