I love this series. It is wonderful for my children and students but I wish they would include a few actual photographs of the people when available.

I know Dolly is a contemporary figure but this book left me wanting more information. I know the format of this series but out of all of the ones we have read this one lacked depth and felt disjointed to me. Sad as Dolly has done so much to give back to children and others as well as be an amazing Star.

My first Who Was.
I really enjoyed it - and particularly enjoyed the subject. Dolly is a real triumph to mankind, and the book does well at balancing the hard stuff and the graphic stuff in an understandable, sensitive, and kid-appropriate way.

Dolly is still working hard and loving life, good for her. I also think her version of "I Will Always Love You" is better than Whitney's.
