I love Tim Tebow and was so excited to read this book. And it was good but I just expected more.

I was really impressed with this book of Tebow's. At some point in our lives we have all had some experience or trauma that has shaken us to our core, knocked us off our spiritual ladder and made us question God and what His plan is for our lives. Just because Tebow's is a celebrity in his own right, and just because he makes a lot of money doesn't mean this exact same thing doesn't and hasn't happened to him. So how do you respond? How do you pull yourself up, dust yourself off and move on without turning your back on God? Tim dives into all of this and more, using examples in the Bible of how this same cycle happened to disciples and others who followed Jesus.

I thought this was a decent read where I can respect Tim's messaging about living your life to its fullest and making a positive impact on others within your life. At times it's pretty preachy and straightforward, which is understandable but overall it's interesting to read from a professional athlete's perspective. I would love to read more memoirs from professional athletes.

This was a great book to read during a time where things were turned upside down. It's definitely not one to keep you on the edge of your seat or make you want to keep reading. But it had many great points that I thought were very valuable. I would recommend this to anyone struggling with their faith or just with life in general.

What happens when your life takes a turn down a path you did not plan on traveling? What happens when your dreams are crushed again and again? What happens when you are told you won't amount to anything and aren't cut out to live your life-long dream? Tim Tebow answers these questions in his new book, Shaken.

Tebow's professional football career did not last as long as he had hoped. After being cut from two NFL teams back to back, he felt like giving up, and he probably could have, but Tim had faith that God had a plan, even if it didn't fully align with his own plans.

Shaken is about discovering your real purpose in life after the world cuts you off from where you thought you were headed. It's about realizing that your identity isn't dependent on your career stats, your bank account or who we are - it's about whose we are.

I was thrilled when I received an invite to join the Shaken book launch team this summer and even more excited to get a chance to read this book before it officially hit shelves. I was pleasantly surprised with this story. It is so uplifting. I loved that Tim shared real life examples that you can relate to while you're reading the book, and you don't have to be in the midst of a crisis to get something from his story. There is so much encouragement and his enthusiasm is contagious.

Shaken is a book about finding comfort in knowing that God has a master plan for your life.

*I received an advance reading copy of this book as part of the official Shaken launch team in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.*

I think his other book was better. This is more of a money maker. Lots of personal experience, but I just felt it was more of a collection of events rather than having a life story.

It had a very inspiring message, but he pushed the bible a little too much for my liking. Had to set it down twice to take a break from it. Was hoping it would be more about his football career.
