A collection of essays and short stories about birds, birders, and birding. It is a nice little book, especially if you are interested in nay of the above.

Cute short stories... largely heart-warming, some really strange. I liked it.

Pete Dunne is fully deserving of his reputation as a birding expert. I have one of his most recent books: Birds of Prey and it is excellent in every way. So, I was pleased to find a collection of birding stories as the title implies. I really enjoyed some and really didn't enjoy others. I will say the stories are dated. I know it's about birds and birding and that sounds strange, but it's true. Also, some stories are, I can only guess, meant to expose how 'weird' birders are within the scope of humans. I know that there are sequels to this book. I won't be buying them.
