I really love Coelho's book. The stories are engaging and there are always such incredible pearls of wisdom that strike me. This book got a bit over the top in places for me but I still enjoyed the overall premise of it--a woman finding her way into her own spiritual path. That resonated with me although her process was not one I'd follow.

This is very well written, I think I need to reread to get everything from it. I loved the enchanted energy of the whole book

Maybe I liked this more than others because I have yet to read the Alchemist, but I thought this was a beautiful book with deep insights into the universe. It left me with a sense of peace knowing that the world brings you what you need when you need it. Lovely book.

The book is ok.
About the story: It is the story of Brida, a young Irish girl, and her quest for knowledge/wisdonm. She has long been interested in various aspects of magic, but is searching for something more. Her search leads her to people of great wisdom, who begin to teach her about the world. Her teachers sense that Brida has a gift, but cannot tell what that is. Meanwhile, Brida pursues her course ever deeper into the mysteries of life, seeking to answer questions about who she is. She meets a wise man who dwells in a forest, and teaches her about overcoming her fears and trusting in the goodness of the world, and a woman who teaches her how to dance to the music of the world, and how to pray to the moon. She seeks her destiny, as she struggles to find a balance between her relationships and her desire to become a witch.

Definitely not the type of book I am normally drawn to, but I did thoroughly enjoy it! I loved the intertwining of religion, magic and every day life. A great book to escape into but also thought/soul provoking. And a bitter sweet ending!

While reading this, I've been enlightened, inspired and at many times, confused—having to contemplate on what the author is trying to convey. Hence, it's no surprise that it took me days to digest only several pages. This book is by far one of my most substantial, philosophical read. I wish I could capture all the instances when the words just struck me like a translucent beam of light. These words that speak of life, so beautifully, makes me feel as if I'm looking out into the world through a clear glass window, its edges adorned with the sheer beauty of nature. I daresay I have yet to truly understand the true meaning of it all. So I shall read it again much later, hopefully when I mature enough to comprehend the entirety of this skilfully written tale.

100 ⭐️’s.
Paulo Coelho has once again changed my life with his writing.
Arguably every book changes your life, even just for a moment. This is one of those that has changed me forever.
There were so many moments while reading this that I felt my soul was being explained to me. “She spent her life in pursuit of what she believed in. The only problem was that she believed in something different every day”
The agony and the ecstasy will continue.

Mindnumbing. Drivel. Someone is smoking somethin'.
I paid $1.95 for it. That was $1.96 too much.

This book sort of continues where "The Pilgrimage" left off. Another spiritual journey, but this time through Wicca. Nothing special about this book. Pretty much keeps in theme with his first two novels, but the story is not as good as his first two.
