The progression of life is manifested in this book with the slow movement of time washing over feelings and pain. With the chiamus of Dex and Em's relationship, the reader bonds with one and then the other so there is still engagement with the character. 

Absolutely devastated by that ending. 
I loved it soooo so much and the characters felt so alive. Though one thing I will say is that I’m unsure if the author was making light jokes about the characters or actually like disagreeing with their personalities, if that makes sense? Anyway, amazing read. 

I loved this. A love story not centred around the love story. Just perfect if slightly sad

A beautiful and harrowing book. Both characters are very relatable and though both are far from perfect you feel great sympathy for them as the novel progresses. 

Loved it! Loved how i hated them at times, hated their actions, what they said, how flawed they were. They were human, and they were young. You kind of grow with them, so you get their whole character development. It was very well written in that way.
I also loved how you know what pov it is in based on the writing. There is some small (veeery little) changes based on the kind of person they are, but it just makes them so much more human. You get to know them better, if that makes sense.
I also loved how you only got one day each year. Its a good idea and very original, and i think it was done very well

Only thing i didnt like was the ending. It was beautiful! But it also didnt make sense with the rest of the story, like the ending should have made more of an impact on the rest of the story than it did. (Cuz the ending is dated as the ending of the first year, in the start. It makes the story kind of go in a circle)
