The progression of life is manifested in this book with the slow movement of time washing over feelings and pain. With the chiamus of Dex and Em's relationship, the reader bonds with one and then the other so there is still engagement with the character.

Absolutely devastated by that ending. 
I loved it soooo so much and the characters felt so alive. Though one thing I will say is that I’m unsure if the author was making light jokes about the characters or actually like disagreeing with their personalities, if that makes sense? Anyway, amazing read.

These characters were very unlikable and their relationship was incredibly toxic the entire time.
I don’t believe they ever should have gotten together, even in the end.

A beautiful and harrowing book. Both characters are very relatable and though both are far from perfect you feel great sympathy for them as the novel progresses.
