this was a bizarre read. there were some very interesting and insightful sections regarding our current culture and the nature of art-making, but overall, this book felt like a twisted fever dream

I was on board for half of this book, but the protagonist quickly became tiresome and the plot seemed to devolve. The revelation of the final chapter needed to happen earlier in my opinion and the ending was truly too deus ex machina for my taste.
