Good book, the middle ages were sure gruesome! 6 churches all claimed that they had the head of the same saint. He didn't have 6 heads!

A lot of gruesome facts which will interest middle grade students. Could have used a few more explanations like what is treacle? I know quite a few of my students will like the gruesome. I would also liked to have seen some emphasis on positive from the Middle Ages.

The Measly Middle Ages tells you what life was really like in days of old when knights were bold, women wore tall pointy hats and the peasants were revolting.

I have been in such a reading slump recently that I decided to try giving shorter, more laid back and easy books a go and what better way to do that than with a Horrible Histories book?

This one I remember from my childhood and a lot of what is contained within the book I still remembered, even if it was only a vague memory.

The Middle Ages is always a period of history that I tend to struggle with because part of me thinks that nothing happened in that time period but clearly a lot did happen and I need to keep that in mind going forward! More than just the Plague happened.

This is the first Horrible History book I've read and I'll read some more at some point.
