  • It’s a little cringe ngl, if you want a predicable book that’s just about like “I must have her” vibes then this is for. I’d smash but I wouldn’t have respect for him 
  • Also, the sexism! It’s like oh this is a damsel in distress and I know what women want and no women can resist me
  • The way I would punch this man (but yeah I’d smash) if he spoke to me like this IRL

I really liked the world building for this book.  It surprisedly kept my interest, the audiobook was really lovely done.  It was a bit dramatic at some points but then again most mafia romances are.  The spicy moments were kinda boring, they all seemed rushed.  I liked the ending but not so much the epilogue; it seemed a bit too heteronormative for me.
