A not so bitter ending

Daisy and Chase have a boss / secretary relationship, but when Daisy decides to take a vacation, Chase comes along for the ride. Chase winds up pretending to be Daisy’s date for her ex-fiancés wedding and the romance begins.

I’m sure you’re wondering about the sex? Is there any? Yes! There is! There are a few sex scenes tastefully written. Not fade to black and not 50 shades of gray style.

Overall, the book has a nice plot, funny/well developed characters, and is a very fun read. I’m deducting a star for spelling and grammar issues throughout the book. They were very obnoxious. If you have time, definitely give this book a chance. Happy reading y’all!

Let's be honest - I went into this thinking I wasn't going to like the book because the billionaire enemies-to-lovers trope isn't one of my faves. But the banter and fun southern family won me over.

I got bored at around 45% and skipped to the end. I didn't really like the characters much, plus all the typos made my little OCD heart cringe.

It just wasn't for me

This book has great bones to make an amazing story, but to me it got cheesy. I was hoping for more I guess,,,

Quirky and cute.

This was a little slow going for me, especially in the first half, but I loved how cute and quirky all the characters were.

The story was cute and I truly enjoyed the characters. I would have enjoyed it more if it weren’t for the numerous grammatical errors. There were words missing in sentences, duplicated words and misused words like through instead of threw. Very annoying

Fun

I had never read this author and I’m glad I tried her out. I found myself laughing out loud at this book. Sure, some parts were a little over the top but overall it was a fun, sweet read. I’ll definitely look for more by her.

Started out strong

The beginning of the book hooked me, but then it just fell flat. Most of the book was spent on all the drama with the side characters, and not nearly enough time on Chase and Daisy’s relationship. There was so little focus on them as a couple that their relationship seemed like background filler to the rest of the book. After all of that I was hoping for at least a decent HEA, but it was just meh.
