‘Knot Wanted’ by Jillian West skillfully intertwines romance, redemption, and rock stars. This standalone novel, set in the vibrant Ruined Records universe, follows Shanna Fitzpatrick, a fierce and independent omega, as she navigates the treacherous waters of love, betrayal, and self-discovery.
Shanna's character shines bright. Her journey from heartbreak to finding unexpected love in a pack of diverse and charismatic alphas is both thrilling and emotionally resonant. Each alpha brings a unique flavor to the story, from Carter's touching redemption arc to Lang's irresistible bad-boy charm.
The story's pacing is electric, blending high-octane romance with moments of introspection and character growth. West's handling of delicate themes like substance abuse adds depth to the narrative, painting a realistic picture of the challenges and triumphs of recovery. The spice level is off the charts, with scenes that are both steamy and tastefully executed, ensuring that the romance never overshadows the plot's depth.
However, the novel's strength also lies in its exploration of pack dynamics and the building of relationships. The slow formation of the pack adds an element of anticipation and excitement to the story. The chemistry between Shanna and her alphas is palpable.
‘Knot Wanted’ is a must-read for fans of the omegaverse genre, offering an exhilarating take on love and power dynamics. Jillian West has crafted a story that is as enchanting as it is empowering.
Thank you so much to Jillian for the ARC!!

I really enjoyed the low angst, coziness of this omegaverse romance, and how all the MMCs were giving out “you deserve to be treated like a goddess” vibes.
Was it instalove? Yes. Were all the MMCs kind of jostling for the FMCs attention, which didn’t really make for a cohesive pack? Also, yes. But you know what made up for it? ALL THE SNUGGLES. 🥰

Book specific praise: I really enjoy how our characters deal with insecurities in different ways. All of them have some measure of it, it shows up in different ways, and they tackle it different ways, and I appreciate that. I like that our omega both is and isn’t ashamed of being a stereotypical omega as respects wanting home and family. I like how our alphas needed to work on their relationships not just to her, but each other, and did so (even if it took a bit).
Jillian West writes great omegaverse. Not the most creative take on the genre I’ve ever seen, but I don’t think I’ve read any of her books and not connected with the characters. Ever. And the characters are very much the point of omegaverse books. They make me laugh and cry and smile and want to hug them. When I finished this book I went on a small binge and purchased all the ruined records books I’d read on kindle unlimited (multiple times).

Story kinda jumped around a lot. Parts I wish were written into the story happened off screen.

I've been obsessed with omegaverses, where the pack forms around the omega or combines multiple packs to have the omega. In this one, we have that situation going on, and I loved that side. But I wish there was more tension because it felt like a lot of build-up to them having many issues. Still, honestly, they were just two strangers who were only going off the situations they'd read about versus actually meeting them. Plus, I really loved the bodyguard storyline, too! However, it was an excellent omegaverse. I just wanted more from it regarding the drama side of things. It just kept feeling like we were building up so much, but then it never went over the edge between the two packs and with other people trying to court Shanna. It was like she kept trying to go for people she thought she should be with instead of the ones to whom she was actually attracted/treated well.
