Such a sweet book. Set in the town of Sweetbriar this is the story between Liam and Holly. They are such a cute couple who first want to focus on their friendship before jumping into any kind of relationship. This book is just the perfect small town romance, friends to lovers, a little bit of suspense and some well done characters not to mention a cute little coffee shop. I definitely recommend reading this if you want a nice small town romance.

I received this book as an arc and this review is my own.

I love a good small town romance!

This one had great chemistry, meddling family and friends, plus mental health rep.

Between Liam struggling with PTSD and fighting his obvious feelings for Holly, I was on his team from the start. Throw in rescuing a stray animal, and I'm a goner.

Holly is a strong, independent woman finally able to pursue her dreams...there's only a few obstacles standing in the way.

I loved watching the character growth of both Holly and Liam, especially their communication skills, which is usually a make or break it factor in a book for me.

A beautiful story, and a wonderful addition to The Barrett Sisters series!

OK first things first, this is my first book in this series (I know, I know WTF right?), and while I read the prologue novella that goes with this one, I was still a tad lost on all of the familial connections and a who’s who of this cast of crazy kids! So yes it can be read as a stand alone but would be better with the others.

This book was so sweet my back teeth were aching! And while that sounds bad its not! Liam is a cinnamon roll Alpha if that’s a thing. He’s easy going until those he loves are threatened, and that goes double for Holly.

Holly has had a trauma, she’s not sure of herself anymore and has embraced the chaos that everyone says she is. From the off these two spark off of one another and its a swoony yet frustrating journey for them to finally make fireworks… and a good solid bang or two.

We get a little suspense and dose of mean girls that can admit when they’ve been assholes, and a really f*ed up childhood “friend” who doesn’t know what boundaries are to go with our sweet and salt duo. Making for a page turn wild ride!

So I had a little trouble with bits Nora’s writing style for this one. Holly’s chapters in particular were a bit chaotic for my poor dyslexic brain. I know Holly is supposed to be a bit chaotic and so her POV naturally reflect that, but it made for distracting and unfocused reading for me.

Other wise its a solid story with a good plot dynamic and lovable characters and a Baddie we love to hate!

I still love ya Nora don’t hate me! And I can’t wait for what you got for us next!
