This was a highly enjoyable and charming read, I’m so glad I picked it up at the library. I’m not normally one for fantasy genre, but I found this more accessible with it being primarily aimed at a younger audience. The writing along with the illustrations were crafted well and the characters had a magical feel to them. In each chapter there is an individual story that focuses on a specific character relating to the overall plot. This is a very good book that would appeal to all, I recommend it!

Lovely children story full of quirky characters. Beautifully illustrated by Chris Riddell - who also recorded himself reading the book and posted it on his youtube account : Morning Mouse.
