Slug is a collection of poems and related essays exploring different aspects of the author's life like her relationship with her grandmother's, growing up and becoming aware of the male gaze, periods, parenting, masturbation, sexuality and body image This book is fiercely feminist and unflinching. It's full of profanity, so readers not comfortable with swearing will want to steer clear. I loved the blend of humour and social and political commentary.
Graphic: Cursing and Sexual harassment
Moderate: Misogyny
