this story is so dear to me, but i definitely think it was better portrayed in the movie than in the book format, specially because of its writing, which i think it's way too simple and childish, and the narrative has no flow whatsoever. I felt like i was reading all these scenes separately, with no connection between them whatsoever.
but the movie adaptation is *chefs kiss* and without a doubt one of the best things i've ever seen <3
