First book by this author, and will definitely be adding the previous books to my TBR.
Sophie, is an independent and strong heroine, her focus is her job, and she is an unbeatable lawyer. She doesn't have time for relationships, but finds herself in one...her relationship comes with zero complications. But there in lies the problem when "easy" turns out to be a betrayal that completely blindsides her.
And a few hours after her breakup she comes face to face with the man she turned down four years ago.
Drew, four years later and still obsessed with Sophie, he knows he doesn't stand a chance but when he finds out that she's single..he will do everything to make sure she knows she's his.
Omg!! I honestly did not expect that twist as I was reading 🙈 and as the story moves ahead I loved the trust, love and honesty that the main characters had with each other....and the spicy scenes 🔥🥵
It was a bit long and dragged here and there for me but overall, it was a great read.

Loved the supportive friends they had, will certainly be reading their books.

This wasn't a book, it was a badly written soap opera disguised as one. I've enjoyed other books from the author, but she dropped the ball with this.
I couldn't stand the plot, or the characters, nothing really could be saved.

This is my first book by the author and I’m hooked. I love that it has all the sizzling tropes and enough family drama to last for days.
It is the story of Sophie and Drew and their relationship and entanglement ( I have to stop here so I don’t give anything away).
The plot twist turned it over the head and added a whole new layer to the book.
This has more kinks than your average romance. It comes with a bit of suspense and intrigue too.
If you are looking for an over the top alpha male then this is your book.
I received an advanced copy and the review is mine and voluntary.

Handling Mr. Harper (ARC) 💜

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
🌶️🌶️🌶️
• accidental pregnancy
• stranger's to lovers
• family drama
• lawyer fmc
• protective mmc
• who's the daddy
• unrequited love for years
i genuinely loved the book. im in my billionaire era. i loved the plot. last 50-60 pages was where everything was making sense and happy happy endings. how the tables were turned 🤌🏻. it held me shock. the book was great. I have already read resisting mr. rich and i liked both the books. im looking forward to reading other books in the series as to know all the characters and their development.
i liked the composure of Ms. Havers although being a lawyer she wasn't full of ego she needed time to gain confidence and also she used to say that she isn't perfect and does not need drew to be perfect too. like the saying goes imperfect people's make perfect pairs.
Mr. Harper was way too good and ik why. Although he hasn't gone through much traumatic experience but it still made my heart ache. I was awestruck how he is obsessed with her...💖

Tropes: billionaire; strong (lawyer) FMC; protective MMC; accidental pregnancy; daddy drama
“You know what I thought when I first met you?” “That woman’s like Elle Woods?” “I thought, wow. That woman’s a force.”
This book has A LOT going on! While the trope descriptions are totally accurate, some play out in very unexpected ways. There were some parts of the story I absolutely loved and others where I found myself feeling it was a bit too much. Drew Harper is 🔥 there is honestly nothing better than a rich, powerful man who absolutely worships the ground his woman walks on and the way that he loves Sophie Havers is perfection. Especially when she is a successful prosecution attorney who takes no shit and that side of her just turns him on more. And his nicknames for her?! 😍The spice in this is soooo well written! The daddy drama (no spoilers) just didn’t do it for me hence the 3 ⭐️ I would definitely read more from this author!
“He thinks I’m a flame. Flames don’t doubt themselves and their own judgement. Flames glow. Flames ignite. Flames take what they want and don’t apologize. Because it’s their fuel, it makes them brighter.”
“Tell me there’s a way through this for you, Sophie. Because I’ll burn the whole world to find the path that still leads me to you. Every. Time.”
This is my honest review in exchange for an ARC copy
