The series is getting a little repeative, but overall was good. Of course left open for the next book in the series.
Love the Camel Club series. Great characters, intrigue and suspense throughout. You may think you've got the culprit all figured out...but you'll be wrong.
Another page turner from Baldacci. Started this at the end of my vacation and then stayed up late most nights this week as it kept me riveted to the story. Some of Stone's solutions, though, seemed to come out of nowhere, but don't let that keep you from reading the latest Camel Club sotry.
Oliver Stone is back! The most interesting protagonist i Baldacci's books, introduced in The Camel Club is back in this book, following a terrorist incident that occurs in front of the White House, assisted by a British MI6 agent and gets tangled with a complex conspiracy. I am surprised that the Camel Club series has yet to be adapted to big screen, since it is a natural for cinema.
Locations I've visited, characters that have become familiar, and clever plotting - action packed and twisty - couldn't put it down!
Not the best book in this series. I understand why Baldacci moved on.
Loved all the books from the Camel Club series, twists and turns all the way to the end…great writing, every detail is well thought through to paint a vivid picture of the events and people involved…can’t wait to jump into another of the David Baldacci series…
Not Baldacci best novel though good enough. Wrapped the book up pretty quickly. Predictable ending. I enjoyed it though.
One roller-coaster ride! Have we seen the last of Camel Club?
So I'm finally done with all the Camel Club books David has written yet and I'm still not a big fan of the series. They are all first rate thrillers, they have the signature Baldacci character investment, but something just prevents me from giving 5 stars to a Camel Club novel.
After the events of the last book, which I finished barely 2 days before I started this one, Carr is given one last mission by the POTUS and promised a clean slate if he is still alive at the end of the mission. Oliver is working officially for the government as a intelligence agent who reports to the White House....as Oliver Stone!
In this one, we see so many of the people from the earlier books return. First Adelphia, the mysterious woman from Oliver's neighboring tent at Lafayette Park in book 1 is back. She was apparently working for Mossad all along (America's biggest ally in the middle east...first I thought of Saudi Arabia!).
Also, Joe Knox of last book returns to help out the Camel Club. The Club has to go to Murder Mountain just like in the first book! Alex, Annabelle, Reuben, Caleb and Finn are all there to support Oliver. Only one missing is the lawyer girl Alex dated in Book 1 (or did I miss something being said about her?).
MI6 is also here; a Brit spy whose life Oliver once saved decades ago and his super-spy goddaughter. The goddaughter partners up with Oliver to investigate the bomb supposedly meant for the UK Prime Minister.

Love this series, but this one was a bit too long and convoluted in my opinion.
