Another wonderful book by David Baldacci. This one had so many turns - way more than the usual heavy amount of them! You were really never sure who was "bad" or "good."

Probably my favorite of the series and I am truly sad it’s over.

This is everything that I expect a Camel Club mystery to be: Exciting, a pretty good mystery and way too complex for it's own good. Its own good? I'm terrible with apostrophes. Sorry.

Anyway: This book starts out relatively straightforward: A bomb has gone off in the park across the street from the White House. Former... oh, right spoilers... um.. tough guy Oliver Stone is recruited to investigate what happened, partially because he's a good detective type and partially because he was there when it happened.

So, there was a bomb in Lafayette Park and Stone and his cohorts, both his Camel Club friends and his new official CIA/FBI/MI6 coworkers get involved in figuring out what's going on.

This one was VERY confusing. But that's what I like about the Camel Club series. It's built to be a series about a bunch of Conspiracy Theory nutbags who hang out together and that means that they can figure out even the most complex conspiracies. If I wanted a normal mystery I'd read a normal mystery, this has a really good and very complex story that I totally should have figured out earlier.

There was a moment where I went "Wow, they got that information way too easily" and sure enough it's just one of an ocean of red herrings in this.

There's another part where they go back to a place that's been in the other books of the series and I went "AGAIN?" and then later made another not that said "Oh. OK. I get it. Nice."

Overall it's a very satisfying thriller and I didn't think it got too complex or too confusing. Lots of well done double crosses and a nicely complex thriller that was still somewhat easy to understand.

Just finished this. If you are fan of the Camel Club it will not let you down.

Unfortunately, I am reading this first after reading the Will Robie tie-in Bullseye, but it is a good story with an interesting cast of characters. I am looking forward to meeting them as they join the elusive Camel Club.

Thrills on every page. If the lack of cooperation between agencies is true - no wonder we're in such a mess.

You can never go wrong with Baldacci's Camel Club. This one in intense with lots of twists and turns.

If you like the Camel Club series, you'll love this one.
