Jeffery Deaver you legend!
Colter Shaw is back on another reward mission, with his percentages, his Winnebago, motorcycle, Glock, and his bad-ass survivalist skills. Damn, I missed this man.
In all honesty, I wasn’t blown away with the previous Colter Shaw book, but this addition has certainly reignited my love for the series. Colter finds himself caught up in a gig that sees him essentially having to find and provide protection for a scientist and her daughter. How everything plays out from there and how the plot and sub-plots are interwoven is simply brilliant. I would hate to give anything away, suffice it to say that I found this book exceeded what is expected from a book in its genre. I found myself captivated by the characters (there really are some brilliantly portrayed characters), enthralled by the plot, and enjoying each end every twist and turn (ah, to be blown away by a twist is what every reader wishes for). I even got a little emotional towards the end.
I would highly recommend this book.

I'd not ready any Colter Shaw books previously but didn't feel like I was missing out on any back story.
I enjoyed this story and will certainly read earlier ones. I liked the character of Shaw and enjoyed the twists and turns of this story

I am enjoying this series...and things aren't always as they seem, as we discover near the end of this book.

Another great addition to the series. Hit the ground running, but the story really kicked off in the second half when the seeds sowed at the start began to flourish, all the threads coming together to make a fantastic tapestry. Hannah was one of my favorite characters from this book, and I loved the moment when we found out what the title meant. Can't wait for book 5!
