What a relief to be finished this book! It really took forever, spanning audio and print versions, and despite being my favorite non-fiction genre (pop-behavioral psychology), I really couldn't get into it! Also shocking is that one of my favorite bloggers/book reviewers said that it made her laugh AND cry! It made me do neither. I don't know why. The best part of the book was the breadth of examples, both personal and corporate, that I think I will retain, unlike the many mnemonic devices (like acronyms) that they employ for their decision-making system.

A very easy to read and digest book that centers around decision-making. The Heath brothers do a phenomenal job of laying out a process in 12 chapters, using real life examples to illustrate the tools they are equipping you with. Plus, I appreciate the chapter summaries - great for when you want to flip through the book and remind yourself of the different tools at your disposal. Excited to read more from them.

Enjoyed this a lot.
I really helped me make great decisions. Well, at least some aspects of the decision making process are now more clear. I mean, I think I took something away from the book. Actually, I don't really know anymore. I can't make up my kind.
Flip a coin game: heads, I give you $100, tales, you give me $50.
Most people won't play because they are loss averse.
"Researchers have found that people view losses 2-4 times more painful than gains are pleasurable."
Example: purchase protection insurance is the most lucrative part of the consumer electronics business.

Good for what it is, nothing groundbreaking, good summary of a lot of different techniques for making decisions with some evidence.

This is such a fantastic book. Dan and Chip share their decision making principles using relatable life and work anecdotes. They provide a variety of different approaches depending on the situation. The writing is clear and they use straightforward language.
I particularly liked the last section in the book where they look at roadblocks and scenarios to really support the reader to take on board the strategies within the book. I highly recommend this book and will no doubt come back to the priniciples within it when I need them!
