“The Strawberry Patch Pancake House” is the latest novel in the Dream Harbor romantic series. It follows the once prestigious chef Archer as he stumbles into his new life as a single dad and cook at a pancake house. Unable to find balance in his new world, Archer takes on the equally unstable Iris to be his new nanny. Unsure of each other at first and their new situation, Iris and Archer find that change might not be all the bad, especially if it comes with a bit of blossoming new love.

I found Gilmore’s voice getting stronger and stronger with each novel in the series and with this latest book, the characters felt so engaging, genuine, and incredibly romantic. I loved how she utilized the romantic trope of forced proximity in a unique way and the blending of the older characters in with the new. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a bit of a romantic escape. 🍓🥞✨
