I need to start shelving my DNF books at a higher pace. This was not successful. I enjoyed this first two books in the series, this book completely failed to capture my interest. I liked one of the time lines, started skipping over a second and then eventually lost all interest. This despite the fact that I LOVE horses and this book is about horses.

Maja Lunden ilmastokvartetin kolmannessa osassa liikutaan kolmessa eri paikassa kolmena eri ajankohtana, villihevosten mukana.

Enjoyable triptych of stories set across C19th, 1990s and into a dystopian climate changed future in which the protagonists of each era dedicate themselves to saving a species of early wild horses. For the most part it's a thrilling yarn but then goes nowhere. The characters are unsympathetic & underdeveloped, saving the horses appears to be drudgery and problematic & ultimately a bit hopeless in the face of climate change when indeed just surviving without too much assistance is the goal.

It’s a similar format to lunde’s history of bees book. This book will take you to Mongolia, to a time when wild horses were first brought to Europe, and when they were returned many years later.
An interesting if long read!
