Taylor is determined to not let Max & Leon have a happy ever after. Well, not for more than half an hour. This was indeed a trail through time with no purpose other than to escape the baddies and enjoy some marvellous times & places.

As with Books #1 and #2, this was fast-paced, almost non-stop frenzied excitement while still making time, amazingly, for some romance. I more or less liked it as much as the first two books (our Library system does not have Book #3). However, as noted in my review of the previously read book, while the geographic locations and time periods change, the basic story arc remains the same.

In other words, there is plenty of suspense but also predictability. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the romp. Our Library system only has one other book, which is #7 and is already on my side table waiting to be read.

Didn't like this one as much as the earlier books. The history is just as good, the story is just as funny when it needs to be and moving when it should be but ... the bad guys are too cartoonish. They are evil fanatics who do terribly things because ... it is necessary for the plot.

I love this series and this most recent was no exception. I don't want to give anything away, but everything you have come to expect from St Mary's is there; laughter, romps through time, action, adventure, and really wild things. The ending leaves you wanting more, but also satisfied with this particular episode, which is just as it should be. Roll on number 5.

The relationship between alternate worlds is confusing, but the adventures are always fun.

I like this installment in the series better than some of the other ones. The action starts off right in the beginning and continues right up to the end. While we see some history, the main focus is Leon and Max trying to escape a group known as the Time Police and the battle that takes place at St. Mary's.
