So, I assumed this would be something like most villainess stories but with a corporate finance bent, where the protagonist knows about their downfall from some game and they spend a lot of time avoiding that bad end.

This... is sort of that? Runa seems more concerned with keeping Japan's economy from falling into the serious recessions that ruined her previous life, and her bad end is an occasional footnote. That end is suggested to happen in her late teens or so, but this book ends with her still in elementary school. So the pace is slow; not much happens outside of a series of corporate mergers and an election. 

The most actively enjoyable part is Hotaru's hide-and-seek skills. The rest is occasionally interesting, but this volume spent so long on odd minutiae of similar events that it dragged quite a lot.
