It's weird to come back to this series, which I must have last read well over ten years ago now. Took me forever to find it as well, in part I think because of the rebranding that was done. I am interested though, as I only ever read the first two, to see where this series goes!

Timothy has been surrounded by magic his entire life. Living on a remote island, EVERYONE has magical powers. Well, almost everyone. Timothy is the ONLY person with no powers and he has always been an outsider with his people. When he finally goes back to the city where he was born, assassins hunt him and he has no idea why. Why would anyone want to kill someone with no powers?

Interesting take on fantasy. Filled with enough adventure to keep my students interested!
