"I'm also sorry your mother is a demon from hell."
This book is a little bit of a burden to really get through, but it is so worth it. It can be a little slow and wordy at times but the characters are fantastic and the dialogue is and smart and funny. I only gave it 4 stars because I am trying to be less EVERY BOOK I READ IS MY FAVORITE, so only 4 stars because it wasn't one of my favorites of all time (like The Darkest Minds), and honestly it was easy for me to put down because but it is worth the effort!

I struggled so much for the last minutes about the rating. I wasn't sure if it deserves 5 stars from me or if it should stay 4. I rated the previous book 4 because I wanted to leave the last star for Wayfarer. For some reason it did not fulfill my expectations. As much as I loved it, it still wasn't a 5 star material for me. Maybe its partly because I am having problems with huge books because all I want to do is just put it aside and not look at it all my four days off and then I go back to work, neither do I really want to pick them up there. I had the exact same problem with Heroes of Olympus. Something about them just makes me want to push them further and further aside. Maybe I am weird. Not sure.

There were some parts, especially in the beginning that were slow, which perhaps made me not want to read through the book quicker. It made me put it off and even as the story went more and more in action, it did felt slow at other times, where I just wished it would end.

I absolutely fell in love with Sophia. I felt sorry for her in the first book and then I didn't before it came to an end. But this sequel absolutely made me fall hard for the girl. I found myself loving her more than Etta at some points. I was also rooting for her and Li Min ever since their first encounter. Found myself drawn in the webs of Sophia Ironwood.

Julian is another character that I grew attached to. He was funny and, of course, flawed but it was pointed out more than once that even he was aware of his flaws. Or what his actions did but int he end he did do the good thing. Also at some points I found loving Julian more than Nicholas himself. And that's shocking because I was a die-hard 'protect Nicholas Carter 2k17' (read it only this year anyway) after I read Passenger but for some reason, something in this book made me like him less. And I am not sure what exactly. I still like his character a lot but something just changed.

I have finally finished another series/trilogy/duology that I can cross out of my list. Wish I could say the same about The Darkest Minds.

What a great conclusion to the Passenger series. This book was a much richer experience than Passenger. I am hoping it was left open for more books in this world!

This is the sequel to Passenger and you MUST read Passenger first. I did not and was lost. I will try to go back and read the 1st book- which may change my rating after starting the series in order ;)

I loved Passenger but was very disappointed with this one. It was very slow and took me forever to get through - I couldn't read more than a chapter at a time. I was very eager to find out what had happened to Etta and Nicolas, but by page 200 or so I found I really couldn't care less. I kept going to page 327 and then just skipped to the end to find out what happened. I found that there was much less information about the eras the characters were in, than in the previous book, yet somehow there was still too much information and the book really dragged on. Probably the most confusing review I will write, but in conclusion I was just incredibly disappointed.

Divertissant mais sans plus. Si je ne l'avais pas déjà eu en ma possession, je ne l'aurais pas lu.

Wow! This book was so much better than the first one. The pacing in the first book was very slow, but in this book it was far better. I couldn't put it down.
It had a very satisfying ending.
