This was a strange and confusing book.
I did learn things about William Shakespeare and his plays, though.

Meh,

Going into this book I hadn't realized this was a fairy tale re told story, if I had I wouldn't have ventured there. I just find these boring and hard to get through..

Couldnt get into it. Was confused by writing style. It seemed to drag and it was hard to focus on what the plot actually was. I didn't really give it a fair chance (I usually read until at least 50 pages) but couldnt seem to go any further, it just wasn't for me.

A tangled writing style that felt heavily distracted most of the time. Not my thing.

Meh. And I generally like Celia Rees's stuff, too.

Though this is by Celia Rees (a well-liked author of mine) and related to Shakespeare's Twelfth Night (a favorite play), it was so DULL. I don't know what was about it that was so boring. Possibly because I expected there to be some kind of awesome Shakespeare-esque plot going on, but there was really just some random things happening.
