Cadence of Ciar

This book was amazing. Keri and ciar were so perfect. Everything that Keri had been through and what she keeps getting thrown at her doesn't stop her from being kind and caring. This was a great first book in a series and I really can't wait to read more. Zoe Parker did a terrific job.

Story: Good story. The world-building was a bit confusing and not explained well but I still liked it nonetheless. I wish that all of the Harem had been present within the first 3 hours of the book.

Narration: Melissa Schwairy - Love her always. She did an excellent job.

this book SUCKS. It's so bad. It's all tell and no show. Literally. I made it almost 50% but the writing is so bad I had to quit.

I hate huge info dumps and that's all this is. It could be an interesting story if it was well written but the author leaves nothing for us to discover, it's just constant nonstop information with no action or barely any dialogue. Also, the main girl is just SO AMAZING OMG shes so special everyone wants her blah blah blah whatever

💣 Mayhem is one of my names, so I'm here for it! BR with the Reverse Harem Revolution cake addicts 💣

#2. Rhythm of Rime ★★★

I have seen, heard of & read about a lot of pranks over the years, but I have never encountered anything like this: an author writing an entire book as an April Fool's joke.

Because that is clearly what this is, a joke. And a cruel one at that. Can't be anything else. It is a Fae parody as well as a test of ones' will against the Typo Army.

You have to be extremely high to think this deserved to see the light of day in it's current form. Which apparently most were, if I judge from all them high ratings. What the hell did you people take?!

I love Zoe & her work but this is just awful and ridiculous. The writing is atrocious, riddled with typos and bad syntax and most everything else is stupid. There was a great core idea in there somewhere but it went to waste.

Info-dumping³ extraordinare from the get go. My tablet was leaning to one side with the weight of it in the first 10-15 pages alone. The academy is an invisible joke worthy of the Invisible Man. The enemy is even more ridiculous than anything else. It was like "I am ze Villan! Meow!".

I, very begrudgingly, have to admit that there were a few things that made me laugh. It is like those jokes that you know are bad and kind of insulting but you still laugh at them, even if it just a little.

Man, I wish I was high like everyone else was when I read this. Good prank [a:Zoe Parker|17122007|Zoe Parker|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1521661014p2/17122007.jpg] but let's not do anything like this ever again, ok? Ok, good talk ✔
lighthearted slow-paced
Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Strong character development: Complicated
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: Complicated
Flaws of characters a main focus: Complicated

This was fine.

I haven't read RH in a while so gave this a whirl. Cover is pretty but this wasn't really up my street. Maybe I'm done with RH or maybe this writing just didn't hit for me.

Fae is also a little hit and miss. My favourite books when I was a teen going into an adult was a fae series but ever since I haven't felt so connected.

I’ve read the authors other books and am obsessed so was hoping I’d enjoy this book and series too. And I do so much I love the writing style and creativity and imagination put in this book can’t wait to see them get a better understanding of them as a group and see the dynamics.

Delightfully new, yet somewhat familiar, world

I love Zoe Parker. She has a way of making even the darkest of characters seem relatable - not that these characters are dark, but there are shadows aplenty. Unseelie. The Slaugh. Lord of the Hunt. And what ever Keri truly ends up being (she’s a fate caller, which is huge and rare, I just think there’s more surprises). This is well written and smoothly done, injecting humor and dry wit through the chapters while teasing the reader with the truth of this world - truths we need to wait to fully comprehend till the next books are out.

Medium burn for individual, slow burn for harem. MMMF, PNR RH. First person, Single POV. Episodic ending (not a cliffhanger, but had from resolves or happy for now ending).

Pros:
- Smooth.
- Love Keri.
- Love Cari more.
- There is darkness here, and kindness.
- The brownies.... I want one.
- So many questions!

Cons:
- Minor editing issues.
- A little confusing in places, had to run to catch up.

I loved this series so much.

The men?

Amazing book! Love Zoe Parker’s writing it’s great can’t wait for the next one.
