Kinda meandering. I wish they’d spent less time traveling and more time in the haunted castle.

Maybe my least favorite of the Gotrek & Felix series so far. I do appreciate the change in pace it represented, replacing copious bloodletting for some smaller set piece monster-fighting, but it just didn't feel very Warhammery which is kind of what I'm here for.

Again, William King continues to impress with his writing style, and not in the least his way of performing exposition in a believable and natural way.
I have particularly enjoyed the way this book delivered world-building and lore that explains just enough of vampires and other such creatures of the night.

A race against time and darkness to save their friend from vampire plans. I really enjoyed the expansion of vampires within the old world. I liked how it differed from the usual depiction of vampires kidnapping and trying to turn the world to darkness. The vampires in this setting are fractured like humans with differing views and goals. We also saw the history of vampires within the old world and of course so lore about the ancient Nagash.

I very much enjoyed reading these books and hope to read even more of Gortrek and Felixs adeventures

You know, my aim is to read LESS books this year, and here I am four days in and two books finished already. Gotrek and Felix versus vampire - the opening, where Felix laments the horrible trials he has undergone in the previous volume then promising that things then immediately got worse are becoming funnier and funnier.
