I can certainly see why this book is considered a classic of horror literature, but ultimately I don't feel that I got what I was supposed to get from this book. What exactly happened was not totally clear, and at times it was a chore to read. I'm glad I finished it and I do think I'll be thinking about this one for a bit. I guess I just wanted something else...? Or something more? I'm not sure.
